Today we’re going to talk about a recent client problem and solution that includes Salesforce Automation flow as the resolution.
The manager of a large sales team was tasked with the responsibility to make sure that all of her salespeople followed up with leads in a timely manor. The rule was set to 24 hours after assignment, the sales rep needed to make contact with the lead and move it to the next stage in the lead status.
Since the company as receiving a large number of leads throughout the day, it became a lot of work to follow up with her salespeople throughout the week to make sure they were following through with contact.
We were able to automate this task for her by creating a rule with a simple e-mail that would go out to the salesperson if there was no activity on a lead for 24 hours after assignment.
Lead Assigned > 24 Hours > No Movement = E-mail
The e-mail was created to be simple with a short amount of text and a link to the lead itself, making it easy for the salesperson to take action on the lead.
We also needed to have a company-wide meeting to discuss the proper way to address leads as a reminder to everyone the importance of picking up assigned leads quickly.
There are a lot of options when it comes to Salesforce automations and the perfect place to start is by looking at repetitive tasks performed by people at your company. Timed notifications are the perfect use case for a manager that is tasked with following up with employee tasks.
