For added security, Salesforce requires an authenticator app to access desktop or mobile versions of Salesforce. Here’s a quick guide on how to get the authenticator setup on your device for the first time.

The automation to stay logged into device is no longer supported with most orgs, so this is something that must be done for each time you log into Salesforce.
